Foldable smartphone is what everyone is working on right now and Samsung is here with the new Samsung Infinity Flex Display and this is what Samsung presents as its foldable phone technology. Samsung Infinity Flex Display is the company’s first OLED foldable hybrid smart device that can transform from a phone into a tablet and vice versa.
The Samsung Galaxy Fold has a 4.6-inch display for phone version and folds out to showcase a separate 7.3-inch display on the inside and It’s a device designed to be comfortably held one-handed. The 7.3-inch Infinity Flex display (tablet mode) has a resolution of 2152 x 1536 pixels, while the smaller 4.6-inch display (phone mode) has a resolution of 1960 x 840 pixels.
Inside the spine is a sophisticated hinge system with multiple interlocking gears that allows the phone to fold .The Samsung Galaxy Fold also has a 7nm processor and 12GB of RAM and 512GB of universal flash storage, so it can read data twice as fast as other smartphones. The Infinity Flex display has two batteries inside, one in each side of the device, to get around the problem of having to have a folding battery. The battery is rated at 4,380mAh.
Samsung made mention of a new feature called: Multi active window. It is just like a three-app multitasking feature, where three apps will be able to run simultaneously. Well, this feature is a means of driving Android developers to start developing apps for the foldable phone future trend.
Although, one of the first app that has been designated to develop a special version of its app for Infinity Flex and the foldable future is the news aggregation app Flipboard. When closed, you’d see a single pane of info. When you unfold the phone, you get a bigger panel (right where you left off on the closed display)
