Xiaomi Mi 9 is out and it comes with a 48MP triple camera, 20W wireless charging, 6.39-inches Super AMOLED panel with 1080p+, 20MP selfie camera and powered by a 7nm chip that uses a Kryo 845 core. It’s clocked at 2.8GHz and integrates the Adreno 640 GPU, offering a 45% improvement in processing speed and 20% in graphics over the Mi 8’s 845.
The Mi 9 features a new 6.39-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a much smaller waterdrop notch and adds an ultra-wide angle lens for triple rear cameras and it comes in three colours – Piano Black, and gorgeous iridescent (Xiaomi calls it ‘holographic’) Ocean Blue or Lavender Violet.

Design and Display
The Xiaomi Mi 9 is an Android Smartphone that exhibits a realistic screen display, and an impressive design with spectacular rounded corners.
The Mi 9 has a 6.39-inch OLED display with a 1080-pixel-wide resolution — Xiaomi representatives said that it’s the same screen as found on the Mi Mix 3, but with the notch cut out for the camera. Like the Mi 8 Pro, there’s an optical fingerprint scanner underneath the display.
It has a dedicated AI button that will let users switch on Google Assistant. In China, the same AI dedicated button will work with proprietary Xiao AI.
Camera and Connectivity
Xiaomi Mi 9 has a 20-megapixels selfie camera (f/2.0, 0.9µm). And it comes with AI support, and the company promoted that there will be AI-powered face unlock in some region.
While for the back camera, the Xiaomi Mi 9 comes with a triple rear camera setup, that consists of a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor with 1.0-micron pixel size and an f/2.2 lens.
The primary sensor also supports four-in-one pixel (12-megapixel effective pixels). There is also a 16-megapixel Sony IMX481 secondary sensor along with a combination of ultra-wide and macro lens having an f/2.2 lens and a field-of-view (FoV) of 117 degrees.
The phone also has a 12-megapixel sensor along with an f/2.2 telephoto lens. Well, this aren’t bad for a mid-range Android powered Smartphone.
There are bunch of connectivity, you can find the NFC chip, NXP SN100T, to data sharing and payments support at a 30 percent faster speed than the previous NFC chip.

Performance and Battery
The Xiaomi Mi 9 is powered by a latest silicone, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 with Adreno 640 GPU and a new faster NFC chip with Adreno 640 GPU.
For enhanced gaming Xiaomi also introduces Game Turbo, which is able to predict gaming scenes and intelligently allocate resources for complicated scenes to avoid lag. This new feature also provides an in-game toolbox to show CPU, GPU utilisation and frames.
And available in two different models, there is the 6GB and 8GB LPDDR4X RAM options. Which are definitely the best for performance.
Mi 9 sports 64GB and 128GB of internal storage, and there is the Game Turbo mode to deliver a smoother gaming experience.

Mi 9 6GB RAM / 128GB storage is priced at RMB 2999 (about $445, while the Mi 9 8GB RAM / 128GB storage costs RMB 3299 (about $490).
